Adverts

These are some examples of some music I've made for adverts. I specialise in electronic music, in the style of AG Cook and Four Tet, focusing on interesting drums loops, atmospheric sounds, and unique basses.

Flip the Script (0:15)

This is motorola razr advert, focusing on two phones nearly interlocking, sliding around, and flipping.

I really wanted to replicate this with the sequenced drums and bass. A lot of these drum sounds are made by objects on my desk, from a piece of paper getting some 'swipe' sounds, some coins dropping, and a jewellery box shutting.

For the bass, I designed it using two Sine waves with a large attack, and then using a fake wah-wah effect to get that warp-y, flipping-like sound, resembling the sliding around phones on the advert.

I used the VST plugin Endless Smile for a lot of the reverb sounds on the heavily chopped up vocals to get that dreamy, space-like effect, with LFO's detuning the reverb.
